Whatever Taufan's achieves from the adventure, which never seems to be completed, will be a valuable provision for his art. Taufan are concepts, ideas, themes, premises, dramas, directors and actors, and also stage. Frankly, it's rare for artists to have the energy like Taufan. And that's very proud. I'm proud of him. Nano Riantiarno,  Theatre Director and Culturalist. 9th Solo Exhibition,  August 2010. The theme of  SHADOW , at Galeri Cipta II Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Jakarta. Introductory articles and inaugurating exhibitions by  Nano Riantiarno,  Theatre Director and Culturalist, Curated by  Wicaksono Adi.

“…Taufan's paintings are colorful lines expressing not only lateral character but also some spatial things. A "point" does not exist unless there is a line. A "line" does not exist unless there is a space…. There is public space, and above it, spiritual space, and above all, the unlimited space of the Divine…" ;  H. Damardjati Supadjar,  Professor of Philosophy at Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. "…Taufan's work is characterized by free brush strokes as if it is made with no ambition but by simply following the freedom of the hands themselves. The titles are sometimes associative, but oftentimes no title at all. The wisdom of hands and feeling are always obvious on the canvas…”  M. Firman Ichsan, Professional Aesthetic Photography and Art Collectors . 8th Solo Exhibition,  June-July 2007. The theme of  LOVE , at Oktagon Gallery Jakarta. Introductory article of exhibition by  H. Damardjati Supadjar,  Professor of Philo...

“…Taufan is trying to talk about the integrity and the diversity that have shaped us for so long. He is worried that integrity and diversity are now shaky due to the powers that ruin it on  purpose. Deforestation and the devastation of eco-system have led us to become a poor nation among wealthier and better-off nations …." ; Danarto,  Writers, Artist -Culturalist. “…Taufan absorbs the artistic world as a creative totality unifying lines of concepts, quintessence of life, soul, and cultural commitment. He sees his job almost like a 'warfare' to  win, whatever it takes. Even more, sometimes he sees it like a 'sacred war'. He can get mad if there is someone trying to stain it. He seriously keeps the 'purity' of his territory...." ; Nano Riantiarno,  Theatre Director and Culturalist . 7th Solo Exhibition, September 2006. The theme of ZERO , at Galeri Cipta II Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Jakarta. Introductory article of exhibition by Danarto , ...

“… That said, in his “Esei” 2006 exhibition, all of a sudden Taufan showed a quite different tendency. While his graphic art was technically skillful and his later abstract paintings were a sort of explosion of a mysterious inner energy, seething with wild brush strokes and surprising hues, this time the works in the exhibit were quite another thing … ” ; Bambang Sugiharto, Professor of Philosophy at the Parahyangan Catholic University Bandung-Indonesia. "…Taufan's exhibit at Philo Art Space was rather surprising since it showed a significant change. He might want to make an experiment or he might think that painting does not necessarily mean being faithful and militant to one style. Just as life keeps changing, so does creativity. It depends on the artist's own choice anyway, and it is common that one chooses to be militant to a certain style and others are more open…" ; Tommy F Awuy, Philo Gallery. 6th Solo Exhibition, July 2006. The theme of ESAI, a...

“... Therefore, there is no need to worry or be surprised, if one day we also witness how Taufan tries to use his expression skills through material and media that are entirely different, including through his works in the field of fashion & style, or sculpture, or even sound and music, which I believe is still stored like magma in him. And, all that he will surely need, none other than his efforts to seek, discover, master and understand something that is most essential in the course of his life and career, and especially for his existence: Himself!" ;  Noorca M. Massardi,   Literary  and  Culturalist. 4th Solo Exhibition, December 2005. The theme of ORAL ; “Korupsi Malu Dong Ama Monyet”, at Galeri Cipta II Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Jakarta Indonesia.   "…In my opinion, in Taufan there is that potential to revitalize   the aesthetics of abstractionism at its bottom line. The reason is   that Taufan follows the history of Indonesian modern fine arts.   He took part in the exhibit "Pasaraya Dunia fantasi", 1987, in   Jakarta. This exhibit is the second stimulus (after the exhibit " Seni Rupa Baru Indonesia", 1975) to make Indonesian   "contemporary art" open again...” ;  Bambang Bujono,  Art Critic. 3rd Solo Exhibition,  November 2005.  IKON  theme, at Oktagon Gallery Jakarta Indonesia. The introductory article of the exhibition by  Bambang Bujono,  Senior Journalist- Art Critic; I naugurated monologue by  Putu Wijaya. M usic:  Didit Kusmaji.

"...Taufan paintings are not a celebration of the eternity and inner darkness of Pollock's paintings for example,... It is also not the contemplative silence of Rothko's theosophysist paintings. Taufan paintings do tend to be straightforward and non-rhetorical, the elokuensi of color games is very prominent. So that its agressivity is actually still tame and sweet. The fluency of color and light tonality resulted in the minimalist configuration of its shape not falling into repetitive monotony like minimalist music, but rather making it dramatic scenes..." ;  Bambang Sugiharto;  Professor of Philosophy Parahyangan Catholic University - Bandung;  Art Critic and Culturalist. 2nd Solo Exhibition,  August 2005.  TERA  theme, at Soka Gallery  Jakarta Indonesia .   “... The power in Taufan’ s painting is not a world of hurt. Although we are surrounded by the power that is milling around, but those power is still in the same movement.  It is rather slow and can be followed by imagination rather than fast motion that will scorch the personal power that is within us..." Wicaksono Adi, Art Curator. "...If many would say that Taufan is an explosive personality, then the paintings are the out-pouring of his restlessness and dissatisfaction with the existence of everything. He keeps jumping to any direction. He is the kind of personality which criticizes anything and is never satisfied with any kind of art form..." ; Bambang Asrini Widjanarko, Art Curator 1st Solo Exhibition, February 2005. The theme of TAUFAN 05, at Oktagon Gallery Jakarta Indonesia. Introductory articles of exhibition by Wicaksono Adi and Bambang Asrini Wijanarko .
